Agile Space Industries

Agile Space Industries is an in-space propulsion and rocket-engine testing company headquartered in Durango, Colorado, founded in 2018 by Daudi Barnes. The company designs and manufactures small liquid rocket engines — primarily monopropellant and bipropellant thrusters — for satellites, landers, and kick stages, and operates one of the largest independent commercial engine test facilities in the United States.

Agile's test facility, used by both the company's own programs and external customers including NASA and multiple commercial launch and lander developers, supports horizontal and vertical hot-fire testing across a wide thrust range. Its engines have flown on commercial landers and have been selected for Artemis-related CLPS missions, including elements of the Astrobotic lunar lander program.

The company has received investment from Lockheed Martin Ventures, Anzu Partners, and others. Agile represents a rare vertically integrated combination of merchant propulsion supplier and commercial test infrastructure — a capability that has become increasingly scarce in the U.S. industrial base.
