Aliro Quantum is a Boston-area quantum networking company developing software platforms for building and managing quantum communication networks — including architectures that incorporate satellite relay nodes for global-scale quantum-secure links. The company's core product is a software stack for quantum network planning, simulation, and control: managing entanglement distribution (the process of creating and routing quantum-entangled photon pairs between network nodes), optimizing quantum channel performance, and integrating heterogeneous network hardware from different vendors.

Entanglement-based quantum key distribution (QKD) is theoretically information-theoretically secure — any eavesdropping disturbs the quantum state in a detectable way.
