Apex Space

Founded in 2022 and based in Los Angeles, Apex Space is a rapidly growing space company focused on the design and mass-manufacturing of modular satellite buses. Apex addresses the bottleneck in deploying next-generation constellations by offering productized, configurable platforms – the Aries, Nova, and Comet series – ranging in mass from 100 to 500+ kg. These buses are designed for operations across Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), and Geostationary Orbit (GEO).

Apex differentiates itself through a focus on speed and scalability, combining traditional aerospace engineering with innovative manufacturing techniques inspired by terrestrial high-rate production. The company’s proprietary operating system, Octopus, integrates the entire manufacturing process, enabling dynamic adjustments to meet evolving demand. Apex currently operates a high-rate manufacturing facility, “Factory One,” with a peak annual production capacity exceeding 200 buses and plans to expand to over 100,000 sq. ft. by the end of 2026.

Apex is currently delivering buses to both government and commercial customers, offering end-to-end mission services from vehicle analysis to on-orbit commissioning. The company’s standardized, flight-proven components and configurable designs aim to significantly reduce development time and costs for satellite constellations.
