Astralintu Space, founded in 2020 and based in Quito, Ecuador, is a Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) provider specializing in establishing and operating ground station networks at 0° latitude. The company focuses on filling a critical gap in global satellite operations infrastructure by offering seamless connectivity, reliable data transmission, and expert logistical support from strategically positioned equatorial locations. Astralintu’s core offering centers around its “LatZero Link Network,” designed to maximize data collection opportunities, reduce communication blackouts, and enable near real-time connectivity for satellites in all orbital types.

Key to Astralintu’s value proposition is the advantage of 0° latitude positioning, which provides longer communication passes, reduced latency – particularly beneficial for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) missions – and increased data throughput per orbit. Their network currently includes two operational nodes: AST-EC-GS1 in Ecuador and AST-IC-GS2 in the Canary Islands, with the flagship “Equatorial Stargate” facility offering advanced teleport capabilities and multi-band precision antennas.

Astralintu has demonstrated early success, securing Ecuador’s first private investment in the space industry from Grupo Futuro. They have also established strategic collaborations with key industry players including Viasat and FOSSA Systems, focused on enhancing global connectivity and delivering end-to-end IoT solutions in Ecuador and Latin America. Furthermore, Astralintu actively engages in fostering space cooperation between Ecuador and international partners like Japan, and supports the development of a national space strategy within Ecuador.
