AXESS Networks

AXESS Networks (now part of Hispasat) was a Munich-based managed satellite communication services provider founded in 2010, operating VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) networks and managed connectivity solutions for enterprise, maritime, aviation, and government customers. The company built and operated satellite networks across Europe, Latin America, and Africa, particularly leveraging Hispasat's GEO satellite capacity over these regions. AXESS provided end-to-end service: from procuring satellite capacity to installing customer terminals and managing the network operations center (NOC). Its acquisition by Hispasat (the Spanish/Portuguese satellite operator) represented vertical integration — Hispasat gained a downstream service layer to complement its satellite capacity business, a common strategy among GEO operators seeking higher-margin managed service revenue beyond wholesale capacity sales.
