AZUR SPACE Solar Power GmbH is a Heilbronn, Germany-based manufacturer of space-grade multi-junction solar cells with over 55 years of continuous production experience — founded in 1964 as part of AEG Telefunken's semiconductor division and later independent, the company holds the European market leadership position in III-V multi-junction photovoltaic cells for satellite and spacecraft power systems.

AZUR SPACE's multi-junction solar cells use stacked semiconductor junctions — typically triple-junction structures combining germanium (Ge), indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs), and indium gallium phosphide (InGaP) layers — each tuned to absorb different wavelength bands of the solar spectrum, collectively achieving 28-32% solar energy conversion efficiency under the AM0 (air mass zero, extraterrestrial) solar spectrum.
