Com Dev International was a Cambridge, Ontario Canada-based manufacturer of space-qualified RF (radio frequency) components and subsystems founded in 1974, one of North America's largest specialized space electronics suppliers. The company's core products — passive and active RF switches, bandpass filters, multiplexers, and antenna feed networks — flew on 900+ satellites across commercial, government, and military programs. Com Dev's components are found in virtually every major GEO communications satellite program of the 1980s-2010s era, providing the RF signal routing and filtering functions within satellite payloads. The company was acquired by Honeywell Aerospace in 2016, giving Honeywell's space business a deep catalog of qualified space RF hardware and Com Dev's manufacturing expertise in Cambridge. The Cambridge facility continued operating as Honeywell's space RF manufacturing center.
