EarthDaily Analytics, headquartered in Vancouver, Canada and formerly known as UrtheCast, is an Earth observation data and analytics company building the EarthDaily Constellation — a fleet of moderate-resolution, high-revisit satellites designed to provide daily global coverage optimized for agricultural monitoring, environmental change detection, and climate analytics at the field and landscape scales.

UrtheCast was initially known for installing commercial cameras on the International Space Station in 2014, becoming the first commercial operator of Earth-imaging cameras mounted on the ISS — providing full-color HD video of Earth's surface from the Russian segment. UrtheCast later pivoted to developing its own constellation after the ISS cameras proved difficult to commercialize, and rebranded to EarthDaily Analytics to reflect its data product focus.

The EarthDaily Constellation targets 22 satellites in sun-synchronous orbit providing multispectral imagery at 4-meter resolution across seven spectral bands optimized for vegetation health monitoring — including red-edge bands and SWIR (shortwave infrared) bands critical for normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), crop stress detection, soil moisture estimation, and chlorophyll content mapping.

Daily revisit at this resolution and spectral breadth would represent a significant advance over current alternatives: Planet's SuperDove constellation provides daily global revisit at 3-5m but with fewer spectral bands, while Sentinel-2 (10m, 5-day revisit) provides broader bands with lower temporal frequency. The agricultural market specifically demands daily observations during rapid crop development stages — planting emergence, tasseling, pollination, and harvest — where weekly revisit misses critical phenological windows.

EarthDaily Analytics targets precision agriculture platforms, commodity trading firms, insurance companies, and government agricultural statistical agencies as primary customers for its data subscriptions and analytics services. The company raised capital from agricultural-focused investors and strategic partnerships with farm management software providers.
