The company is building two engines in-house: the 80-kilonewton 'Pegasus' upper-stage engine and the 1.2-meganewton 'Stallion' booster engine, and aims for full reusability of both stages to drive launch costs as low as a few hundred dollars per kilogram.
EtherealX has raised a Series A of about $21 million and reports over $130 million in customer contracts, with engine hot-fire testing underway and a first orbital flight targeted around 2027.
