Eutelsat OneWeb operates a low Earth orbit satellite constellation of over 650 satellites providing global broadband connectivity from 1,200km altitude across 12 synchronized orbital planes. The constellation, manufactured by Airbus Defence and Space with launches beginning in 2019, delivers high-speed, low-latency connectivity to enterprise, government, maritime, and aviation customers worldwide. Following the 2023 merger with Eutelsat, the combined company became a leading multi-orbit satellite operator with headquarters in Paris. The company achieved fully global LEO service coverage in spring 2025 and plans to launch an additional 100 satellites for network upgrades starting in 2026, with a potential second-generation constellation of over 6,300 satellites featuring enhanced capabilities including 5G integration.
