Quick Facts
About GalaxEye Space
GalaxEye Space, founded in 2020 and based in Bangalore, India, is a space technology company focused on developing multi-sensor Earth observation satellites. The company is building India’s first commercial synthetic aperture radar (SAR) constellation, with its inaugural mission being the pioneering satellite, Mission Drishti. This mission uniquely integrates both SAR and multi-spectral imaging (MSI) sensors on a single platform, a world first, enabling what GalaxEye terms “SyncFused” imagery.
Mission Drishti is designed to deliver high-resolution, all-weather, day and night imagery with a fused resolution of 1.5 meters. The satellite utilizes an X-band SAR sensor capable of spotlight mode imaging up to 0.9m resolution, alongside a 7-band MSI sensor. This combined capability aims to provide enhanced contextual intelligence, improved accuracy for applications like change detection, and accelerated AI model training.
GalaxEye is targeting a range of sectors including defense, infrastructure monitoring, and agriculture. The company is currently preparing for the launch of Mission Drishti, slated for Q1 2026, and is offering early access to datasets through an Early Adopters Program. By co-locating these sensors, GalaxEye seeks to eliminate the complexities of traditional data fusion and deliver a standardized, analysis-ready product to its customers.
