GeeSpace (吉利航天, Geely Space Technology) is the commercial satellite subsidiary of Geely Holding Group — China's largest privately owned automotive conglomerate and parent company of Volvo Cars, Polestar, and Lotus — founded in 2018 and headquartered in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, operating a growing LEO satellite constellation for IoT connectivity and next-generation broadband services.

The company's initial operational phase runs a 64-satellite IoT constellation already serving approximately 20 million users and processing approximately 340 million IoT data messages per day across maritime vessel tracking, connected logistics, and industrial remote monitoring applications. The Phase 2 expansion targets 264 satellites with direct-to-smartphone connectivity capability — enabling satellite-based messaging and location services to unmodified mobile devices in areas beyond cellular coverage — a capability positioned to serve Geely's automotive fleet telematics ambitions alongside general consumer and commercial markets. Phase 3 envisions a 5,676-satellite broadband constellation providing global high-speed internet coverage.

GeeSpace's manufacturing advantage comes from a dedicated satellite production gigafactory applying automotive manufacturing discipline to satellite assembly — achieving production throughput that reduces average satellite build time to 28 days from traditional timelines of months to years. This directly applies Geely's automotive supply chain management expertise and high-volume production culture to satellite manufacturing, competing with the model pioneered by SpaceX's Hawthorne Starlink satellite factory.

GeeSpace represents one of several Chinese industrial conglomerates entering commercial space alongside automobile, electronics, and infrastructure companies responding to government encouragement of private space sector investment.
