Genesat is a Chinese satellite manufacturer established in 2022 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Innovation Academy for Microsatellites (IAMCAS) together with Shanghai Spacecom Satellite Technology (Spacesail). Its primary mission is to design and mass-produce satellites for the Qianfan (Thousand Sails) low Earth orbit broadband megaconstellation, also referred to as the G60 network, which aims to ultimately deploy roughly 14,000 satellites to provide global connectivity. Genesat operates a digitalized, high-throughput satellite production line designed to support the rapid manufacturing cadence required for a megaconstellation, with batches of Qianfan satellites launched aboard Long March rockets.
