About GHGSat

GHGSat operates the world's largest constellation dedicated to monitoring greenhouse gas emissions from space, with 16 satellites in orbit as of 2025. The Montreal-based company launched GHGSat-C12 and GHGSat-C13 in June 2025 aboard SpaceX's Transporter-14 mission, with plans to add nine satellites by end of 2026. GHGSat ordered two additional satellites in November 2025, built on SFL's high-performance 15 kg NEMO platform. The constellation monitors methane and carbon dioxide emissions from industrial facilities with unprecedented precision, identifying exact emission sources down to individual equipment. GHGSat's proprietary sensor technology serves oil and gas, coal mining, and waste management industries, working with major clients including ExxonMobil, Aramco, and the UK Space Agency. The company's satellites complement its technology demonstrator GHGSat-D (launched June 2016) with commercial spacecraft deployed from 2020 to 2025. GHGSat provides critical data for emissions detection and mitigation at speed and scale, supporting corporate sustainability initiatives and government climate commitments.
