Hypersonix

Hypersonix Launch Systems, founded in 2019 and based in Brisbane, Australia, is an aerospace engineering company specializing in the development of hypersonic technology and scramjet engines. The company is focused on designing and building reusable, hydrogen-powered flight systems capable of achieving speeds up to Mach 7, with a vision to enable sustainable access to space. Hypersonix’s core technology centers around the SPARTAN scramjet engine, notable for its airbreathing propulsion with no moving parts and its ability to utilize green hydrogen fuel for zero CO2 emissions.

Hypersonix has a strong history in scramjet research, building upon Australia’s early leadership in the field, and has conducted over 6,000 ground tests at real flight conditions, alongside multiple successful flight tests including the HIFiRE 7 hydrogen-fuelled scramjet in 2015. They are currently developing a series of hypersonic vehicles, including the DART technology demonstrator, the VISR reusable multi-mission flyer, and the Delta Velos launch system, targeting a first launch of DART in Q1 2026.
