KaleidEO is an Indian Earth observation company, established as a separate entity out of geospatial firm SatSure, building a fleet of high-resolution optical microsatellites with onboard edge computing. Its satellites are designed to deliver multispectral imagery at around 1.2-meter resolution with a wide swath of roughly 65 kilometers, processing imagery in space within about 90 seconds to benefit disaster relief and national security applications. In September 2023 KaleidEO became the first Indian company to achieve edge computing in space, and in April 2024 performed successful aerial tests of its high-resolution optical multispectral payload. The company plans an initial constellation of four microsatellites and joined the IN-SPACe consortium with SatSure.
