As low-Earth orbit fills with tens of thousands of satellites from SpaceX Starlink, Amazon Kuiper, OneWeb, and numerous smallsat operators, the frequency of conjunction events — close approaches that require assessment and potential avoidance maneuvers — has grown from hundreds to hundreds of thousands per day, far exceeding what human operators can manually manage.

Kayhan's flagship product, Pathfinder, is an autonomous conjunction assessment and maneuver planning platform. The system ingests two-line element (TLE) sets and high-fidelity state vectors from multiple tracking sources — including Space-Track (18th Space Control Squadron), commercial sensors from LeoLabs and ExoAnalytic, and operator-provided ephemerides — then continuously computes probability of collision (Pc) values for every satellite in a customer's fleet. When Pc exceeds configurable thresholds, Pathfinder automatically generates maneuver options that minimize collision risk while respecting propellant budgets, operational windows, and ground station contact constraints.

The platform's autonomy is critical for constellation operators managing hundreds or thousands of satellites simultaneously. A human analyst team cannot assess 50,000 daily conjunctions for a large constellation and manually plan avoidance maneuvers — Pathfinder automates the assessment-to-execution pipeline so operators receive ready-to-execute maneuver plans with supporting analysis rather than raw probability numbers requiring manual processing. The system integrates with satellite command and control systems for semi-automated or fully automated maneuver execution.

Kayhan Space works with commercial constellation operators, government satellite programs, and space domain awareness agencies. The company raised $8M in Series A funding in 2023 and has been designated a vendor for Space Force's space traffic management initiatives. Kayhan competes with Slingshot Aerospace, ExoAnalytic Solutions, and AGI's Systems Tool Kit (STK) Conjunction Analysis module in the growing commercial space safety software market.
