Libre Space Foundation

Libre Space Foundation, founded in 2014 and based in Patras, Greece, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of open-source hardware and software for space applications. The company focuses on building accessible space infrastructure, encompassing ground stations, satellite components, and telemetry systems for rocketry. Key projects include SatNOGS, a globally distributed network of over 200 open-source satellite ground stations, and PICOBUS, the first open-source PocketQube deployer.

Libre Space distinguishes itself through its commitment to open-source principles, fostering collaborative development and wider access to space technology. They have demonstrated this capability by successfully building UPSat, recognized as the first open-source satellite in terms of both hardware and software.
