Loft Orbital

Loft Orbital is a space infrastructure company founded in 2017 with offices in San Francisco, Toulouse, and Colorado, providing Space Infrastructure as a Service. The company enables organizations to operate missions in space without the complexity, cost, or delays of traditional satellite projects using pre-built, standardized satellites. In January 2025, Loft Orbital raised $170 million in Series C funding co-led by Tikehau Capital and Axial Partners, bringing total capital to approximately $325 million. The company has deployed five satellites to date with around 30 in backlog, most scheduled for 2025-2026 launches, representing approximately $500 million in aggregate contract value. Customers range from NASA to Eutelsat. By 2025, Loft expects to operate one of the largest heterogeneous satellite fleets in Low Earth Orbit. The company pioneered AI-enabled satellites with YAM-6, featuring onboard compute capabilities and always-on connectivity enabling real-time event detection. Loft's Virtual Mission approach handles everything from integration to in-orbit operations, turning space access into a fast, predictable service.
