Unlike pure LEO constellations, Mangata's multi-orbit architecture provides the latency advantages of MEO with the northern hemisphere dwell time of HEO (Molniya/Tundra) orbits, giving extended contact windows over Arctic regions, Alaska, Canada, Scandinavia, and Russia — areas underserved by GEO and with irregular LEO satellite passes. The company also plans to integrate edge computing capabilities into its satellites for on-board data processing close to the user.
