Mission Space is a Luxembourg-based space weather technology company founded in 2020 and headquartered in Luxembourg City, providing high-resolution, localized real-time space weather forecasts and data services — targeting the gap between the coarse global space weather monitoring available from existing assets and the granular, location-specific predictions that satellite operators, power grid operators, and aviation customers need for operational decision-making.

The company's forecast system delivers localized space weather predictions with 500 km spatial resolution and forecasts extending 96 hours in advance — substantially more granular than the continental-scale space weather alerts from NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center or ESA's Space Weather Service Network, which cannot differentiate conditions within regional coverage areas where different local space weather conditions may have very different operational impacts.

Mission Space's proprietary Zohar sensor technology is deployed on nanosatellites that measure space weather conditions in situ across multiple orbital positions simultaneously. The company partnered with EnduroSat — the Bulgarian CubeSat manufacturer and constellation services provider — to launch 24 nanosatellites equipped with Zohar sensors, creating a distributed in-situ measurement network. The company claims this approach delivers 230% more accurate space weather forecasts than ground-based and single-spacecraft monitoring approaches, based on the denser spatial sampling of the distributed sensor network.

Target customers include satellite operators managing solar storm induced single-event upset and degradation risks, power grid operators in auroral regions susceptible to geomagnetically induced currents (GICs), HF communications operators, and defense organizations requiring precise space weather situational awareness for operational planning.
