NOVI Space

NOVI Space is a United States-based company developing space-edge computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure for geospatial intelligence (GI), autonomy, and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) applications. Their core offering is the GENIE platform – a next-generation, open-access constellation designed to perform on-board data processing, significantly reducing the cost and latency associated with traditional Earth Observation (EO) data transmission. NOVI achieves this by processing raw satellite data in orbit and downlinking only the refined, “useful” information, rather than the entire dataset.

Key to NOVI’s capabilities is the SP240 on-board computer and the STORM platform, enabling AI inference directly in space. The company has demonstrated technological maturity, achieving Technology Readiness Level 9 (TRL-9) for its hardware and operations in early 2025. NOVI supports mission development through an advanced emulator allowing customers to build, train, and test applications for on-orbit processing.

NOVI has a proven track record supporting missions for the U.S. Air Force and the Missile Defense Agency, and recently released sample imagery from a payload hosted on the International Space Station. Their next planned mission is the launch of the NOVI Constellation Satellite N1-ATLAS in Q1 2026.
