Odin Space develops sensor technology to detect and map small orbital debris that is too tiny to be tracked by conventional ground-based radar and optical systems. Its detectors, mounted on host spacecraft, are sensitive to fragments roughly 0.01 to 2 centimetres in size, and a distributed network of these sensors is intended to build a map of the sub-centimetre debris environment that poses lethal but currently invisible risks to satellites. The company offers pre-launch debris reconnaissance, ongoing surveillance and collision diagnostics. Odin demonstrated its first in-orbit debris-detection payload in 2023.
