About PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara

PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN) is Indonesia's first private satellite telecommunications company, headquartered in Kota Bekasi in the Jakarta metropolitan area. It was founded in 1991 by satellite engineers Adi Rahman Adiwoso and Iskandar Alisjahbana, and in 1996 became the first Indonesian company listed on the NASDAQ exchange. PSN provides satellite-based telecommunications, broadband and connectivity services across the Indonesian archipelago and wider Southeast Asia, and today ranks among Indonesia's small number of satellite operators.

The company owns and operates Nusantara Satu (also known as PSN-6), a high-throughput communications satellite built by SSL (Space Systems Loral) with roughly 15 gigabits per second of capacity across C-band, extended C-band and Ku-band transponders, launched on a Falcon 9 in February 2019 to expand broadband access in rural Indonesia.

PSN subsequently partnered with the Indonesian government on Nusantara Tiga (SATRIA-1), a very-high-throughput satellite delivering roughly 150 gigabits per second that launched in June 2023 as part of Indonesia's national broadband-access program, and has since added Nusantara Lima, launched in September 2025 and described by the company as the largest-capacity satellite in the region at around 160 gigabits per second.

PSN sells connectivity services to corporate, small-business, government and retail customers, with a particular focus on extending internet access to Indonesia's remote islands and rural regions, and operates as a commercial, privately led satellite operator working in close partnership with Indonesian state broadband initiatives.
