SARsatX is a Saudi space-technology company that designs, develops and operates Earth observation satellites using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and optical sensors, spun off from KAUST. Its imagery is not constrained by weather or sunlight, supporting security, energy, agriculture, maritime and infrastructure sectors through its EarthLife data platform. The company completed the first flight test of its SSX-1 airborne SAR system, the first SAR payload designed, manufactured and flown in Saudi Arabia. SARsatX is developing the ArabiaEye constellation of 16 small satellites targeting full operational capacity by 2027, and in 2025 closed a $2.6 million seed round led by Tonomus with Wa'ed Ventures.
