SatRevolution

SatRevolution is a Wrocław, Poland-based nanosatellite manufacturer and Earth observation company founded in 2016, operating as one of Central and Eastern Europe's most active commercial space startups — building CubeSat-class and small satellite platforms for Earth observation, developing its own constellation of imaging nanosatellites, and providing satellite manufacturing services to international customers.

SatRevolution manufactures satellites in the 6U-16U CubeSat size range (approximately 6-16 liters in stowed volume), integrating commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components with custom-designed structures, power systems, and payload interfaces in its Wrocław production facility. The company's own constellation program targets multispectral Earth observation — capturing imagery at visible and near-infrared wavelengths useful for agriculture (crop type mapping, crop health monitoring using NDVI vegetation indices), forestry (forest cover change detection, illegal logging monitoring), and environmental monitoring (wetland mapping, urban expansion tracking).

Poland's commercial space ecosystem has grown significantly since 2015, supported by the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) established in 2014 and Poland's membership in ESA (joined 2012), which provides Polish companies access to ESA procurement contracts and co-investment programs. SatRevolution has benefited from this ecosystem — receiving ESA Business Incubation Centre support and Polish government innovation grants — while building international commercial relationships with satellite operators and data customers.

SatRevolution has launched multiple satellites through rideshare programs (including SpaceX Transporter and ISRO PSLV rideshares) and operates them from its ground control facilities. The company has secured contracts to build satellites for international customers including research institutes and commercial operators, positioning satellite manufacturing as a parallel revenue stream alongside its own constellation data business.

Poland's growing space sector includes competitors and partners like Creotech Instruments (satellite platforms), KP Labs (AI for satellite data), and CloudFerro (satellite data processing cloud) — collectively representing one of the most dynamic new space ecosystems in continental Europe outside of France and Germany.
