SEAKR Engineering is a Centennial, Colorado-based space electronics company founded in 1982 specializing in high-performance radiation-hardened computing systems, solid-state recorders, digital signal processors, and advanced processing electronics for military, intelligence, and commercial satellites — operating as a key supplier to US national security space programs and as a subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies (now RTX Corporation).

SEAKR's core product lines address the onboard computing and data management challenges of modern high-performance satellites. Solid-state recorders (SSRs) store the large volumes of sensor data generated by reconnaissance satellites, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems, signals intelligence (SIGINT) receivers, and Earth observation imagers — typically holding terabytes of compressed imagery or signal data in radiation-tolerant NAND flash memory arrays with fast read/write interfaces to sensor electronics. SEAKR's SSR products are qualified for the space radiation environment (total ionizing dose, single-event effects) and designed for the cryogenic temperature cycling of orbit.

High-performance space computing boards use radiation-hardened processors (BAE Systems RAD750, GR712, or custom FPGA-based designs from Xilinx/AMD Virtex-5QV or Microsemi RTG4 FPGAs) to perform onboard signal processing tasks that reduce the volume of raw sensor data transmitted to ground — on-board image compression, change detection, target recognition for tasking optimization, or radar pulse compression for SAR satellites. As satellite sensors increase in resolution and bandwidth, the data volume problem grows, making onboard processing electronics increasingly critical to mission design.

SEAKR's military and intelligence heritage means most program details are classified, but the company is known to have supplied electronics to GEO reconnaissance systems (classified NRO programs), military communications satellites, and missile defense sensor satellites. Commercial customers include high-resolution EO satellite manufacturers requiring radiation-hardened storage and processing without the overhead of a full government procurement process.
