SETS Space Electric Thruster

SETS Space Electric Thruster, founded in 2018 and based in Dnipro, Ukraine, develops and manufactures Hall-effect electric propulsion systems for small satellites. The company offers a range of products including complete propulsion systems – the SPS-40 and SPS-25 – as well as individual subsystems like Hall-effect thrusters (ST-40, ST-25, and ST-100), Power Processing Units (PPUs), and Xenon Feed Systems. These systems are designed to enhance satellite capabilities through orbit adjustment, maneuverability, and end-of-life deorbiting, while also reducing satellite weight and potentially lowering launch costs.

SETS’s technology focuses on efficient, low-power plasma thrusters, with the ST-100 capable of 1.5kW operation and the SPS systems designed for power consumption ranging from 300-500W. A key aspect of their approach is in-house design and manufacturing of critical components, including utilizing additive technologies for precision and automated production.
