Spaceflux is a UK-based Space Domain Awareness (SDA) company developing proprietary ground-based optical sensor networks combined with shortwave infrared (SWIR) imaging and AI-driven analytics for satellite and debris tracking across all orbital regimes. Founded and headquartered in the UK, Spaceflux addresses a critical gap in the commercial SDA market: affordable, high-cadence, high-accuracy optical characterization of resident space objects (RSOs) that goes beyond catalog maintenance to deliver object-level intelligence — material type identification, anomaly detection, and behavioral pattern analysis.

Spaceflux's sensor network uses SWIR imaging (wavelengths roughly 1,000–2,500 nm) alongside conventional visible-band optical telescopes. SWIR imaging offers advantages for space object characterization that visible-only systems lack: better signal-to-noise in twilight and partial-darkness conditions, improved contrast against scattered light, and spectral signatures that reveal information about surface materials — distinguishing solar panel surfaces from aluminum or multi-layer insulation blanket coatings — which supports object identification beyond TLE-derived positional data alone.

The AI analytics layer processes multi-spectral photometric time series, light curves, and orbital element data to classify objects, detect on-orbit events (tumbling, thruster burns, deployment anomalies), and flag behavioral changes that might indicate conjunction risks or suspicious maneuvers. This characterization capability is increasingly relevant to military space operators (USSF, UK MoD, allied space commands) who need not just collision avoidance but intent assessment for non-cooperative objects.

Spaceflux participates in the UK Space Agency's National Space Operations Centre (NSpOC) ecosystem and aligns with the government's ambition for sovereign space situational awareness capability.
