About Stoke Space

Stoke Space is developing Nova, a fully reusable medium-lift launch vehicle designed for rapid turnaround and long operational life. Based in Kent, Washington, Stoke Space is building the first rocket designed from the ground up for 100 percent reusability including both stages.

In June 2024, Stoke Space completed the first successful hotfire test of its full-flow staged combustion engine, producing over 100,000 pounds of thrust. The first stage engine was designed and manufactured in just 18 months, demonstrating the company's rapid development capability. February 2024 testing demonstrated the reentry heat shield at flight heating conditions.

Nova will measure 4 meters in diameter and 40.2 meters tall, delivering 3,000 kg to low Earth orbit. The first stage uses seven full-flow staged combustion methalox engines with return-to-launch-site landing. The innovative second stage features 24 thrust chambers ringing a regeneratively cooled heat shield, eliminating thermal tiles for rapid reusability. Steel tanks provide exceptional thermal properties and durability for multiple flight cycles.

In October 2024, Stoke Space secured final approvals after a two-year environmental review and broke ground on Launch Complex 14 at Cape Canaveral within 24 hours. The company is on track for Nova's first launch from SLC-14 in 2026. Stoke Space continues advancing fully reusable rocket technology to dramatically reduce launch costs and increase flight frequency.
