About Stratolaunch
Stratolaunch operates the world's largest aircraft by wingspan — the Roc carrier aircraft, with a 385-foot wingspan — as an airborne launch platform. Founded in 2011 by Paul Allen, the company was acquired by Cerberus Capital Management in 2019 after Allen's death and pivoted from satellite launch to hypersonic testing. Stratolaunch is developing the Talon-A reusable hypersonic testbed vehicle capable of Mach 5+ speeds, providing research services for the US Air Force and other defense customers. The company completed Talon-A's first captive-carry and separation tests in 2023–2024. Roc is based at the Mojave Air and Space Port in California.
