About ViaLite Communications

ViaLite Communications is a British manufacturer of radio-frequency-over-fiber equipment, based in Swindon, England, and founded in 1994. The company is a division of Pulse, Power & Measurement Ltd (PPM). ViaLite's products convert RF signals into light for transmission over fiber-optic cable, and back again, allowing satellite ground stations and teleports to route L-, S- and C-band signals — and wider 1-18 GHz coverage via its infonX product line — between antennas and equipment rooms over distances beyond 100 km with minimal signal loss, replacing lossy coaxial cable runs.

This RF-over-fiber layer is a small but necessary part of ground-station infrastructure that teleport operators and antenna integrators typically buy from specialist suppliers rather than build themselves. ViaLite's product range includes dedicated links for satcom, GPS/GNSS reference distribution, broadcast and government/defense applications, along with its fotonX optical switch for signal routing. The company holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 certification and maintains both UK and US operations.

ViaLite competes in the RF-over-fiber niche with larger antenna and ground-equipment houses already represented in this directory, such as ETL Systems and General Dynamics SATCOM, but specializes specifically in fiber-optic RF transport rather than antennas, modems or amplifiers.
