About Viasat

Viasat is a global communications company pioneering secure, reliable satellite connectivity for consumers, businesses, governments, and military forces worldwide. The company operates an integrated network combining geostationary and planned medium-Earth orbit satellites to deliver high-speed internet, in-flight connectivity, and protected communications across land, sea, and air.

The ViaSat-3 constellation represents the company's next-generation ultra-high-capacity satellite system, with each Ka-band satellite designed to deliver over 1 terabit per second of network capacity - the highest throughput of any single geostationary communications satellite. ViaSat-3 F1 launched in 2023 and entered commercial service in 2024 serving airline customers. ViaSat-3 F2 successfully launched in November 2025, expected to more than double Viasat's bandwidth capacity over the Americas with service entry anticipated in early 2026.

Built by Boeing on the 702MP+ platform at over 25 kilowatts - Boeing's highest power commercial satellite ever - each ViaSat-3 satellite provides coverage over nearly one-third of Earth. The constellation's dynamic flexibility enables real-time bandwidth allocation to address shifting demand patterns, particularly valuable for mobility applications where high-concentration areas continuously change.

Viasat delivers fast, free in-flight Wi-Fi to commercial aviation passengers through partnerships with major airlines globally. Consumer broadband services provide 100+ megabits per second home internet in rural and underserved areas. Government and defense customers rely on Viasat's encrypted satellite communications for resilient, secure connectivity supporting mission-critical operations worldwide.

The company continues expanding its multi-orbit architecture, with ViaSat-3 F3 planned to extend coverage to the Asia-Pacific region in 2026, completing global ultra-high-capacity coverage while integrating acquired Inmarsat capabilities.
