About Visioneering Space Corporation

Visioneering Space Corporation is a small mechanical, electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical engineering firm in Boise, Idaho, founded in 2000 by Christa and Jason Budinoff. It designs and builds flight hardware for spaceflight research, carrying projects from initial concept through delivery of flight-qualified instruments, and maintains an ISO Class 7 cleanroom for assembly and integration work.

The company is an official ISS National Laboratory Payload Integration Partner, drawing on NASA human-spaceflight safety expertise to guide outside researchers' experiments through the payload-development and certification process required to fly on the station. Its engineering work is credited on NICER, the X-ray timing instrument mounted externally on the ISS, and on CODEX, a solar coronagraph instrument that reached the station in 2023. The ISS National Lab's own partner records also list Visioneering in connection with NG-20, the Northrop Grumman cargo mission that delivered the HPE Spaceborne Computer-2 investigation to the station in January 2024.

Beyond ISS payload work, Visioneering describes itself as developing instruments for other active space missions, including Mars rover hardware and lunar and solar observation platforms, though the company has not published detailed figures on staff size, revenue or additional named contracts.
