About Voyager Space

Voyager Space is a space exploration company building the future of commercial space stations and in-space services through strategic acquisitions and partnerships. The company leads development of the Starlab commercial space station in collaboration with Airbus, creating infrastructure for post-ISS human spaceflight.

In January 2024, Voyager Space and Airbus completed formation of Starlab Space LLC, a transatlantic joint venture to design, build, and operate the Starlab commercial space station. The team completed the station-level System Definition Review, a critical milestone assessing technical and programmatic accountability. Starlab features a large inflatable habitat built by Lockheed Martin, metallic docking node, power and propulsion element, robotic arm, and the George Washington Carver Science Park laboratory.

NASA awarded the Voyager-led team a $160 million contract under the Commercial Low-Earth Orbit Development program. Starlab will continuously host up to four astronauts for research, science, and manufacturing, targeting initial operational capability by 2027. Northrop Grumman provides cargo transportation services for the station using Cygnus spacecraft.

Voyager acquired Nanoracks, a pioneer in commercial space services that launched the Bishop Airlock to ISS in 2020, the first permanent commercial addition to the station. Nanoracks consolidated under the Voyager Space brand in 2024, bringing expertise in satellite deployment, ISS research, and space station operations. Voyager Space continues building a comprehensive commercial space ecosystem through strategic acquisitions and partnerships.
