About X Space Solutions
X Space Solutions (also referred to as Xavier Space Solutions) is a private Ghanaian space company founded by Solomon Appekey with the stated aim of establishing Ghana, and Africa more broadly, as a hub for space technology. The company says it designs and manufactures small satellites for remote sensing, communications and navigation, and is developing satellite-internet infrastructure alongside space-debris tracking research, agricultural remote-sensing services and space-education programmes.
Its headline initiative is a "2030 Constellation Roadmap" describing a three-phase plan to deploy more than 100 satellites by 2030 to bring high-speed connectivity to underserved African communities. The company operates alongside Ghana's state-run Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute (GSSTI) as one of the country's few named private space ventures.
