Aerial & Maritime
Aerial & Maritime was a GomSpace-backed nanosatellite venture headquartered in Mauritius, with offices in Ghana and Denmark, planning an AIS (Automatic Identification System) constellation for ship-tracking across Africa's coastal waters. It was owned by GomSpace Group and the Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU). The company never launched its planned satellites; GomSpace retained the hardware. Aerial & Maritime was wound down and liquidated in June 2020.
